Will You Miss Me?
This matriarch led her herd toward me as I waited quietly
in the open jeep. From the highest positioned seat at the back,
we were at eye level to each other.
She approached to within 5 feet or so,
then shifted her gait slightly and walked gently past my back.
Her clan followed in her footsteps.
After capturing this image, I slowly lowered my camera,
and simply absorbed this breathtaking experience.
