One: this is a unique print

The images in my Early Spring Series are made from the first show of spring flowers and early seaweed washed ashore using experimental cyanotype techniques. The results are unpredictable and remind me of the joy and surprise of early spring when the botanical world is coming to life bringing a sense of renewal and possibility. Cyanotypes are the oldest form of photography, first used to document plant specimens by Victorian botanists. These camera-less images ecologically friendly technique, which encourages experimentation and spontaneity.
